Version 1.0 continues to govern orders whose checkout session was created before this version takes effect; a fee change never applies to an order already placed or a checkout already started (Section 9).
1. Overview
This Seller Fee Schedule ("Fee Schedule") sets out the platform fees, processing costs, and administrative assessments applicable to Sellers operating storefronts on StoryToShop LLC ("StoryToShop").
There are no listing fees. There is no fee to open a storefront.
2. Platform Transaction Fee
StoryToShop assesses one platform transaction fee on completed storefront purchases.
- Platform fee rate: five percent (5.0%), rounded half up to the nearest cent (exactly one-half cent rounds up).
- Calculation base: the merchandise subtotal — the item price less any Seller-applied discount.
- Exclusions: shipping charged to the buyer and sales tax collected are excluded from the calculation base.
- Inclusive of processing: the platform fee is the Seller's total transaction fee. StoryToShop bears the order's routine payment-processing costs — every payment-processing fee charged on the order's payment other than dispute and chargeback amounts and fees (Section 7) — and its own platform operating costs. They are not deducted from the Seller's proceeds.
3. Payment Processing and Settlement
Payment processing is provided through Stripe. StoryToShop is the settlement merchant for card transactions on the marketplace. A buyer's payment is captured by StoryToShop, and the Seller's proceeds — the merchandise subtotal plus shipping charged to the buyer, less the platform fee — are transferred to the Seller's connected Stripe Express account. Sales tax collected is not part of the Seller's proceeds.
Nothing in this settlement arrangement changes which party is responsible for the product itself. Under Section 3 of the Seller Agreement, the Seller remains responsible for the product, its description, its safety and legality, and its fulfillment.
- Routine processing costs: borne by StoryToShop and covered by the platform fee (Section 2). StoryToShop does not set Stripe's rates.
- Dispute and chargeback fees: fees assessed by Stripe or a card network for a payment dispute on a Seller's transaction are attributable to that Seller and are handled under Section 29 of the Seller Agreement.

The Seller's proceeds include the $10.00 shipping charged to the buyer. Without shipping, proceeds on the same sale would be $85.50 ($90.00 − $4.50). No separate processing fee is deducted from the Seller's proceeds, and sales tax collected is not part of them.
The tax line is illustrative only. It assumes an 8.25% rate applied to the merchandise subtotal and the shipping charge, as in a jurisdiction where shipping is taxable. Actual sales tax is calculated at checkout for the buyer's location and the items sold, and may differ, including where shipping is not taxable. Tax never changes the platform fee or the Seller's proceeds.
5. Refunds and the Platform Fee
Where an order is refunded in full, the Seller returns the proceeds transferred for that order and the full platform fee is returned: StoryToShop keeps no platform fee on a fully refunded order. Processing costs that Stripe does not return on a refund remain StoryToShop's cost.
Partial refunds are not available for orders settled to the Seller's connected account at payment; such an order may be refunded in full. Other resolutions follow the Refunds & Buyer Protection Policy.
6. Payout Settlement
The platform fee is deducted when the payment is captured, before the Seller's proceeds are transferred to the Seller's Stripe Express account. No processing cost is deducted for a routine card transaction.
Payout timing from the connected account is determined by Stripe and the Seller's connected account settings. StoryToShop does not control payout timing where a payout is delayed by Stripe, a financial institution, a legal requirement, or a fraud or risk review.
7. Other Amounts
The following are not StoryToShop fees, but are amounts a Seller may owe under Section 29 of the Seller Agreement:
- Refunds and transaction adjustments determined under the Refunds & Buyer Protection Policy
- Chargebacks, disputes, and reversals on the Seller's transactions, including dispute and network fees
- Subscription charges under the Plan & Subscription Billing Terms
- Fines or penalties assessed against StoryToShop as a direct result of the Seller's unlawful or prohibited conduct
8. Subscription Fees
Paid plan pricing is set out in the Plan & Subscription Billing Terms and is separate from the transaction fees in this Fee Schedule.
9. Changes to This Fee Schedule
StoryToShop will provide conspicuous advance notice before a material increase to the platform fee takes effect, consistent with Section 41 of the Seller Agreement. A fee change does not apply retroactively: each order keeps the fee rule recorded when its checkout session was created, and a checkout session created before a change completes under the rule it was created with.
